We were welcomed by the manager right away and got amazing beer that can't be found anywhere else! Absolutely love this place!

Lily is hot, the beer is great and the owners are cool!!! Also, i enjoyed the top-notch ginger beer, which is not available anywhere else in Taiwan.

In the heart of Taipei's Da'an district, just a short walk from the Da'an park metro stop, sits a little beer bar simply called "Beer and Cheese". A fitting name as the menu primarily features beer and cheese. The beer selection is phenomenal, featuring local and imported beers. Most I did not recognize but travelers from the west coast will recognize Elysian, a Seattle based brewery. The staff is also apt at pairing beer and cheese and, will ready suggest a combination to fit your taste. The only drawback to "beer and cheese" is the cost. Portions are small and cheese selections cost between 30$-50$NT In my opinion the atmosphere and selection make "Beer and Cheese" well wor th a visit.

Great expat spot, beer and cheese (how could it be bad?)! Beer selection to rival almost any spot in the US. The specialty is American microbrews but also has selections from around the globe, including some local brews considerably better than the Taiwan "Gold Medal" standard.

Just returned to our hotel from a great couple of hours at the Beer and Cheese Social House. We arrived in the midst of a massive beer tasting. Definitely loud and I was worried about finding us a seat- one of the owners, Tristan, made a place for us at the end of the bar and the amazing night began. Enjoyed all of the beers we were served and we each had one of their famous grill cheese sandwiches along with chips and salsa. The sandwich was TERRIFIC. Other folks came up and spoke to us and in general, we found the crowd to be quite amiable despite the 30 year age difference! :-) Looking forward to coming again on our next visit to Taipei. Great beer, great times!The staff is friendly and the selection is hopping.The staff has great English and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Friendly staff, a nice mix of expats and locals... Not to mention a fantastic selection of beer you might be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Taipei. Definitely recommend.

Jon, and Ben are awesome. Beer selection is great. Make sure to try the beer special! I had the jalapeño grill cheese, it was wonderful. Can't wait until this place expands to other places across Asia!
